Wedding Proposal at San Clemente Island: Vivek and Pavan

I will always remember the exquisite kindness of Vivek. From the first email throughout the long planning process, this guy was always polite, elegant, kind…and so handsome!

I found myself entering into his life as a good friend and following all the steps till the proposal day. He shared with me the moment he asked her parents for the hand of  his beloved girlfriend Pavan, the moment he bought the ring and all the excitement  following in the months till the big day, August 24th.

The day was specifically chosen as they met on December 24th, 2014 (now…. isn’t that romantic, Christmas Eve!) and from that moment on, they always did something special for their monthly anniversary. “What created the special bond between us is how different we are, yet we have the same values and morals”. Vivek told me. “The moment I met her, I knew it was LOVE and she was the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with!”.The proposal had to be private, unique, and in a VERY special setting. This is why I suggested the San Clemente Palace Kempinski, located on the private island of San Clemente, only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the city of Venice. A wonderfully romantic place with a centuries-old huge park.

Little did she know, Vivek had this huge proposal planned for her.

He took her for a walk before dinner and suddenly they arrived at “their spot”. On the large trees I had hung the framed photos of their best moments together. A harpist was playing “A Whole New World” (from the film Alladin) and Francesco Bognin was ready to immortalize the scene.

Pavan was in shock!!!

She kept on saying “I didn’t expect this”…

They had a wonderful photoshoot of their engagement in the park of San Clemente followed by a romantic dinner at the restaurant Acquerello with the view of  the lagoon and  San Marco.

The ring was designed in Johannesburg, South Africa. He bought the ring from Browns Jewellery store in Mandela Square, Johannesburg and with every ring, they plant a fruit tree in a developing city. Their fruit tree can will be located at Kanana Park informal settlement in Gauteng.

Such a joy to see how much…

…Love was in the air!

NOTES FROM THE COUPLE:

“I first met Ema online via google 6 months before the proposal. From our first conversation to the day of the proposal, Ema was beyond exceptional. Ema listened to my thoughts and wishes, turning my ideas into a reality. She was always there no matter what time of day responding either first thing in the morning or last thing at night. I could not have executed our magical proposal without her. Proposing on St. Clemente Island south of Venice, was due to Ema’s recommendation on the ideal setting based on my wishes. Ema’s team were absolutely amazing, from the set up, to the harp player, to the amazing photographer, Francesco Bognin. We honestly cannot thank Ema and her team enough, thinking back now three weeks later, it still does not seem real! Love Vivek & Pavan x”
