One of the sweetest bride I have ever had is MEAGAN. She was absolutely a blessing to work with, the bride that all wedding planners would love to have! She wanted to be surprised and gave me free reign to plan the wedding. I felt a huge responsibility .. because Meagan & David deserved to have the most perfect wedding!
They met in college. Meagan’s brother introduced her to his friend David and that was all it took….A couple days before their 6th anniversary David proposed during a weekend they spent together in one of their favorite places, Lake Placid, NY. This sports oriented outdoorsy couple have shared many adventures together and they were excited to be able to check off items on their “bucket list” … A dream wedding in Venice!
Both of them have had Great Grandparents and Grandparents from Italy, making it a very special place for them. David also did a study abroad program and lived in Italy for 4 months. While he was in Italy, all he could think about was showing Meagan all the beautiful things he saw and experienced in the Bel Paese. It seemed like the perfect adventure for them to tie the knot in Italy! David picked Italy and Meagan picked Venice. She had never been to Italy before, but had vivid pictures in her mind of what wonderous Venice would be like.
“I knew I needed someone to help me plan OUR wedding and after watching Ema’s website video I knew she was the right choice” said Meagan.
Thank you both for trusting me so much!They wanted a very romantic ceremony, so they took care of all the legal aspects in NY and in Venice they had a very special and intimate symbolic ceremony on the terrace of the beautiful Luna Baglioni hotel on The Grand Canal.
I wrote the service which was jointly officiated with Father Luigi Ramazzotti (aka “Father Selfie” – see photo!!) who blessed the couple and the exchange of the rings.
After the ceremony we took water taxis to the Lido of Venice for a reception dinner at “La Terrazza A Mare”. This was a special surprise for both the couple and their guests as nobody knew where I was taking them or what they would find!!
Irene and I designed a specific beach themed reception. Everything was perfect and they couldn’t be happier with the results. The flowers were provided by Fioreria San Rocco.
Late in the night the couple went for an incredible PHOTOGRAPHIC SESSION with the amazing Shin and Akari from Iburi Photography, returning to Piazza San Marco, I am so very pleased to share with you the beauty of these pictures and how much Maegan and David love one another.
