Zayra and Luis – A romantic garden wedding!

Zayra is originally from Santo Domingo. Luis is from Curacao .

She lives in Miami and is a quite famous singer  Xarah Music, performing at the famous Truluck’s in Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

A common friend brought Luis to the Club where she was singing 3 years ago and he felt in love with her voice. Literally.

That weekend in Miami changed their lives!

They started dating with some difficulties as Luis was still living in Curacao at that time and going back and forth was not the easiest thing. But life blessed them with the arrival of Emma 18 months ago…  and Luis decided that it was time to relocate to Miami and start their life together as a Family.

The idea of getting married in Venice was something romantic and special for both of them, as they have never been to Italy.

I organized the wedding of their good friend Kelly, from Curacao, the year before and she highly recommend my wedding planner company.

It was probably meant to be! When Zayra contacted me for the first time I was about leaving for Miami to meet another bride who chose to have a destination wedding as well. I’m originally from America and I often travel to my country to visit family, friends and clients! I had the pleasure to meet Zayra, Luis and their adorable baby Emma in Key Biscane after a couple of weeks: we talked a lot and we explored together all the possible venues to meet Zayra’s vision of her dream wedding.

They wanted an intimate ceremony with just the immediate family: both the mothers, sisters and the cousin who moved to Geneve to follow her soul mate, Paul.

After deciding  the color palette pink&gold,  the bride completely trusted me, giving me free hand on all the choices for her most important day.

They stayed at Residence Palazzo Odoni, an ancient XV Century palace, I officiated the ceremony in the amazing garden overlooking the Grand Canal of Palazzo Malipiero and the intimate dinner at Palazzo Barbaro, a private residence with an extraordinary private chef, Marzia.

One week before the wedding I could surprise Zayra with a great news: the spanish TV program, Destinos de Pelicula with Màxim Huerta was going to be recording the wedding!

I loved every moment of this wedding. Zayra was one of the sweetest bride I have ever worked with and making her happy, made me very happy and proud!

Some brides are…special.  Zayra is a very special one I will miss!

Luckily we will meet together every time I am in Miami !

I would like to thank my sweet Lety and Viola for these amazing photos of Zayra and Luis. The delicate sense of beauty of your pictures reflects your lovely souls.
